Urban Novak, Kyle Dempster, and Hayden Kennedy have made a first ascent up the East Face of K7, a 6,934 meter mountain in Karakoram, Pakistan, in the Hushe Valley.
According to PlanetMountain.com, the trio tried to climb the East Face of K7 last year and failed. Redoubling their effort this year, however, they found a new alpine route up the difficult and steep face and made the summit on July 19.
Check out a play-by-play of their climb on Planet Mountain.
I found an interview with Dempster with Outside Magaizne here.
