RMI Guide Katie Bono made a speed ascent to the summit of Mt. Rainier and back, breaking the record for the fastest ascent by a female climber.
According to the RMI Expeditions Blog, she made the climb on July 24, departing from Paradise Parking lot, hitting the summit, and returning in 4:58 minutes.
