Teton Triathlon: 61 Miles To the Top of Grand Teton & Back

The Grand Teton and the Teton National Park have aspired many a hiker, biker, and backpacker, but who would have thought it would be home to a triathalon?

The Teton Triathlon, as it has been dubbed, was invented by David Gonzalez, according to Jhnewsandguide.com. From beginning to end, it is 67 miles.

To start, Gonzalez bikes from his backdoor to Jenny Lake in Grand Teton National Park (21.3 miles). He then dawns a wetsuit and swims across Jenny Lake (1.3 miles). Then he makes the hike to the top of Grand Teton, turns, and retraces his steps, strokes, and pedal-path to his front door.

He originally posted it on the Jackson Hole Culture blog The Snaz.
