Where the Trail Ends is a forthcoming mountain-biking film that follows some of the world’s best freeriders on a three-year quest around the world in search of hard-core mountain biking descents.
The trailer was recently released by Freeride Entertainment and Red Bull Media House. It’s already being called the most anticipated adventure film of the year.
Watching the four minute trailer, you’ll quickly understand why.
These guys are flipping off of cliffs on their mountain bikes, pedaling down steep ridges, and bombing down mountain-face chutes like snowboarders, except that, of course, in lieu of snow is hard dirt and harder rocks. To pull these stunts off on mountain bikes is to be incredibly skilled and mentally insane. Making matters sketchier is the fact that they’re doing this stuff in some of the most remote places on earth, so that when someone gets hurt–and someone does–there are few medical facilities in range to help.
This is what big mountain riding is all about. Where the Trail Ends comes out Sept. 21, 2012.
